Staying focused in an on-line venture is the most difficult thing often the entreprenuer get carried away by the grand vision without bothering about the market the venture is planning to serve. On-line consurmenrs are a special breed because trhey have very short attention spans, also they get irritated by minor eye sores like page layout, font, pop-up windows and clutter. I guess the best way forward is to go inside out, designing the site with functional engineering wihich is user friendly rahter than being clever, haing crisp relevant data feeds and having relevant product content that helps the consumer make their decision
